Ace with Social

I notice on your demo of the Ace theme (http://lr62.themeray.com/web/ace/home), you use the Social portlet functionality (chat, follow, announcements, etc), but, don't see any instructions on how the Ace theme should be configured for Social. Does it automatically use the Social features, or, is this just a mock up on the demo site?

Hi David,
It is mockup to not limit the flexibility of the theme. However we can create a separate version integrating the portlet instead if needed.
Regards.

The social functionality is not one portlet, but a combination of portlets, and it also comes with their own set of themes.
I believe this tells me that the Ace theme does not work with Social, unless you want to do custom work to make them compatible. You should probably note this in the demo site.

You are right. We will do it thank you.
However, AFAIK most of the customers that used ace so far have a set a webservices (including social webservices) that need to be exposed as liferay portlets. They will not be able to do it using standard liferay social porlets.
You are now the first one asking for such a functionality. As mentionned already, we can provide it if needed.
Regards

Thanks for the response, I'm surprised no one else is using at least some of the LR Social features with your theme. The Ace theme is probably the best theme I've seen that both has good mobile responsive and desktop UI, and, I've looked at a many themes on the public market. If you would adapt your theme to work with the LR Social themes/portlets, I would definitely buy your theme, but, without this support, I am not sure it's viable for me.
I would be glad to assist/test/beta a version that is Social compatible, and even provide an environment for you to deploy and test into that has LR Social porlets installed, just let me know (via email). Thanks again for the quick response.
